15,000 acres of rolling
woodlands along US41, north of Inverness.
It is the largest
planned urban development in Citrus County,
with 32,000 homesites and 465 miles of roads and associated infrastructure.
Citrus Springs boasts two 18 hole golf courses,
a country club, dozens of clubs and social activities, doctors
and
a branch clinic of Citrus Memorial Hospital, schools,
12 churches and a library with numerous activities.
Its many park sites include Greenbelt access to
a pristine section of the Withlacoochee River and the
